Dictionary
Names and words FlowType should always spell your way. It also learns them when you fix a word it got wrong.
Fill in "Replace with" to fix a word Whisper keeps hearing wrong: say the first, get the second.
Snippets
Say a short phrase and FlowType types the full text: a link, an address, a reply you send often.
Style
How your words come out. FlowType looks at the app you're in and writes the way you'd write there.
How much to tidy up
Code editors and terminals
In Cursor, VS Code, Xcode, Terminal and similar apps, FlowType keeps names like userId and app.py exactly as code, and leaves commands alone.
Scratchpad
A place to think out loud. Click in a note and hold fn to dictate into it.
Team
With a team code, FlowType uses the team's AI on Moazzan's server. You don't need your own key.
Your own OpenRouter key
Only if you don't have a team code. The key stays on this Mac.

Changes apply right away.
Dictation
Hold to talkHold it, talk, let go. Add Space while holding for hands-free.
MicrophonePlugged-in mics show up here.
Language you speakEnglish is fastest. Other languages use a bigger voice model (downloads once).
Always type in EnglishSpeak any language, get English text.
Voice modelBigger is more accurate and a little slower.
Pick up quiet speechLifts the volume when you speak softly, so whispering works.
AI
Clean up what I sayRemoves um and uh, fixes punctuation, keeps only your corrections.
Smart formattingLists, emails, numbers, and "new line" / "new paragraph".
Use the text on screenReads the text around your cursor so names come out spelled right. Never reads password fields.
Command ModeSelect text, hold fn + ⌃ and say what to change. With nothing selected, it writes what you ask for.
"Press enter" sendsEnd with "press enter" and FlowType presses Return after typing.
Learn words I fixWhen you correct a name it got wrong, it's added to your dictionary.

Open at loginStarts in the menu bar when you log in.

macOS asks for these once. FlowType needs all three.
After you switch one on, FlowType restarts itself once.
