FlowType

Talk instead of typing, in any app on your Mac.

Hold the fn key, say what you want to write, and let go. FlowType types it where your cursor is, with the punctuation fixed and the "um"s taken out.

Install (one command)

Open Terminal: press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, press Return.

Paste this line and press Return:

curl -fsSL https://flowtype.moazzanishfaq.com/install.sh | bash

FlowType opens and asks for your team code. Ask Moazzan for yours.
Allow Microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring when FlowType asks. It needs all three to hear you and type for you.

Run the same command again any time to update to the newest version.

Or install by hand

Download FlowType.zip

Double-click the zip to unzip it, then drag FlowType into your Applications folder.
Open FlowType. If your Mac says it can't be opened, open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway next to the FlowType message, and confirm.
Enter your team code and allow the three permissions, same as above.

What you need

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.
A team code from Moazzan.

Privacy

Your voice is turned into text on your own Mac. Only that text is sent through this server to tidy it up, and the server does not keep it.
